It is no joke that when you have kids, life just speeds past so quickly that you’re lucky to even know what day it is! This is exactly what has happened with our second pregnancy. It’s crazy to think that 39 weeks have come and gone already! The first two trimesters flew by. By the time the third trimester started, I was definitely huge and uncomfortable. This baby is going to be so big! Of course, I thought that with Andrew and he was only 6 pounds and 12 ounces after being four days late!
I am very comfortable with the idea of being induced again since that’s what I’m familiar with. Hopefully going a few days before my due date instead of after will make things a little easier for recovery. Last time was not fun. They also think this delivery will be even quicker. My first baby was only four hours, so I don’t know what to expect with baby #2! I guess we’ll find out tomorrow!
So we had planned on doing maternity photos and just like last time, it didn’t work out. Last time it was the weather. (I insisted on beach photos and it kept raining.) This time, we just lost track of time trying to keep up with everything. Running businesses from home while running around with a toddler (and trying to keep him out of trouble) is pretty exhausting sometimes. I am interested in seeing how adding a newborn will be, but I wouldn’t change it for the world. I love our life together so much and am so thankful for everything the way it is.
We took a few photos this evening to capture the last night of Andrew being our only child. He, of course, didn’t feel like cooperating, so I tried to bribe him with Nutter Butter minis. It kind of worked. And yes, I look like I swallowed a watermelon!
As of tomorrow, we will be the parents of two amazing little boys and he will be a big brother! I am really excited!
