Back to School is such an exciting time, especially if your kids are going to school for the first time! This year, we have one child in school and he’s in first grade. While we are really excited for him, we’re also bracing for the down side of heading back to school…..all of the germs. Keeping your family healthy during fall is not an easy task, especially if your kids are younger like mine! Thankfully, there is a service out there that can help you save money on health care expenses called SingleCare.
What is SingleCare and How Does it Work?
SingleCare is a prescription savings card that can save your family up to 80% off on your prescription medications, as well as get you discounted dental and vision services. It’s not insurance, but it does give you access to quality health care for less. There are over 35,000 pharmacies across the US who accept SingleCare, like CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, and Kroger! The best part is you can create an account or download the app for free and check pricing in your area anytime! SingleCare will show you the cost of your medication at the pharmacies closest to you in your zip code. You can also search for pricing of dental and vision services near you.
I know many kids get an eye exam at the beginning of the school year to make sure they’re able to see their lessons in the classroom. When I looked at the price of vision exams near me, it showed an eye exam for $62 which was about $230 in savings! Prices do vary by service and location, so you’ll want to do your own search to see how much you can save.
What About Regular Doctors Visits?
SingleCare offers Virtual Doctor Visits from the comfort of your own home- perfect for families with busy schedules! Pricing varies by service and location, but when I checked my local area, it was only $45—which is a significant savings compared to walk-in clinic pricing. Have you ever tried a virtual doctor’s visit? The idea of being able to stay in bed and not have to drag the kids out if I get sick sounds amazing! For some reason, they usually bring their germs home and I end up getting sick twice. I will definitely be keeping this service handy once flu season hits!
How to Get Started:
Getting started is easy! Head over to www.singlecare.com and set up your FREE account. You will have immediate access to search for prescription costs and other services near you. You can also download their free app to search on the go! I hope you find this service helpful for your family! If you have family members or friends who require regular medications, be sure to let them know about SingleCare and you just may save them a ton of money!
