Now that things are settled down a bit over here, I’m going to be bringing Storytime Saturday back, a fun little series where I share all things related to reading for kids! And this just so happens to be a double-series feature, because this post is also part of my Subscription Box Series and features a box called The Story Box.

The Story Box is a book subscription for kids ages 0-6.

They offer three subscription options:

The Board Books package is for ages 0 to 2 1/2, and it includes two sturdy, board books per month and a monthly tip card. This package starts at $14.99/month.

The Picture Books package is for ages 2 1/2 to 6, and it includes two hardcover, picture books per month and a parent guide. This package starts at $19.99/month.

The Family Package is perfect for families with children in both age groups.  You’ll get one board book and one hardcover, picture book each month along with a parent guide.  This package starts at $17.99/month.

Each box includes a parents guide to help facilitate learning and creativity based on the theme of the box. We received a Family Package (this is the May box) that included a cute picture book called No, No, Gnome! by Ashlyn Anstee for the boys and a colorful board book called What a Wonderful World by Bob Thiele and George David Weiss for Avalynn. I loved the fun illustrations of both books. Great illustrations help children get more interested in story time!

What’s Inside?

New bedtime stories are always a great idea! AND, Andrew is doing really well with learning how to read so these are perfect books for him! If you’ve seen my book collection, you know that books make me very happy, so passing down my love of reading to my kids is important!

Final Thoughts? My Review:

Both books in my box are listed on Amazon for the same price as through the subscription box which means parents are getting amazing books curated monthly for their little ones without overpaying any kind of markup. I think that’s amazing! What I love about a book subscription is the ability to discover new books that you may not have known about. I love that kids get to receive something special in the mail just for them! The fun, brightly colored packaging inside the box also gets kids really excited for their special new books!

The boys really loved this book and we usually read it 3-4 times back to back. It’s a fun little story that isn’t too short or too long, it’s just right!

Avalynn also loved her book and enjoys looking through the bright, fun colored pages.

The quality of book selection in this box was great! Fun selections that were perfect for the age of my kids. The Family Package is awesome so that all of my kids can get something out of the same box.

I LOVE that the Story Box includes a parent guide. It had some really great tips that I’m going to definitely try with my kids! Our box arrived in May and the theme was garden/spring which went along with the theme of the parent’s guide that included some fun suggestions on garden-themed learning activities!

Not only is a book subscription fun for your own children, but it also makes a great gift for other children!
