School is out for the summer! It’s time for family adventures and Back to School shopping for the next school year that’s just around the corner. Here in Florida, school starts up at the beginning of August! If you are shopping for backpacks this summer, head over to Hudson Tailor and check out their Classic Sets: Not only are these high quality and comfortable with tons of pockets and pouches for organizing, but they have a detachable lunch bag on the front! Genius!
I’m a huge fan of great backpacks! We are a family of 5 and we love to go on adventures so it’s great for everyone to pack up a few things that are needed for the entire day. For us, backpacks are not just for school but for our typical lifestyle! I thought it would be fun to share what the boys like to keep in their backpacks!
What’s in Aidan’s Backpack?
Aidan is 4 years old and he loves dinosaurs, music, coloring, snacks, dress up costumes and his baby sister.
We keep a couple books in there for him along with a tablet and some washable markers, a couple dinosaur toys, a mask and cape (which is currently in use), a few snacks, a small toy, and a change of clothing. He is fully potty trained but sometimes you just never know, accidents happen…though they are rare, I like to be prepared. It’s crazy that now Aidan and Andrew can pretty much share clothes! I love that!
We also keep the boys’ water bottles in the mesh side pockets but they are in use right now.
What’s in Andrew’s Backpack?
Andrew is almost 6 years old and he will be in 1st grade this coming school year. He loves race cars, snakes, outer space, Hot Wheels, playing games on the iPad, math problems and mazes, and card games. In his backpack, we also keep a change of cloths even though he is completely potty trained. However, it’s great to have a clean set of clothes for unexpected events, like messy ice cream cones. He has an art kit that includes some fun scented crayons and pens with paper, activity books for mazes and math, a few Hot Wheels cars, the iPad, an Autoweek magazine (yep, he loves the car pictures and I always look through it first to make sure it’s family-friendly), a space book, a couple small games, and some snacks.
Once he starts school again, we’ll keep most of this at home, but for the summer, it’s great to plan a day out and know that he’s got plenty of things to use in the car while we are on the go!
Hudson Tailor Gives Back:
Along with great quality, functional backpacks, Hudson Tailor also has an amazing mission to donate a portion of every purchase to NANT (the New Approaches to Neuroblastoma Therapy Consortium), a collaborative group of fourteen children’s cancer centers across North America focused on developing new therapies for children with a type of childhood cancer called neuroblastoma.
