For those of you who haven’t yet been to Atlantis and are planning a trip to Reno, let me show you why the Atlantis Casino Resort is a great place for your family!
The Room:
While the Casino floor area is a bit smoky, the non-smoking rooms are super clean and completely smoke-free. Every time we’ve stayed at this hotel, we’ve found the rooms to be quite comfortable and very quiet. It’s very rare for Drew and I to get a full 8 hours of sleep, and we have every night at Atlantis Casino Resort, which was HEAVEN! This visit, we booked two adjoining rooms next to each other so the boys could go back and forth between us and my parents’ room. We also requested a crib for Aidan, which was provided complimentary by the hotel along with wifi in our room and free valet parking. Our room was up on the 14th view and provided a nice mountain view. The beds were comfortable and included 4 different types of pillows on each bed to work with whatever your preferences may be.
Aidan made it in the “big bed” for about 5 minutes and then he ended up sleeping in the crib for the rest of the night. They both slept amazingly!
The Pool:
Atlantis Casino Resort Hotel has an amazing indoor pool that is covered with glass panels, adorned with indoor palm trees and a rock wall with a water feature, providing a relaxing atmosphere that makes you feel as if you are outdoors somewhere tropical and not in the middle of the dessert. The pool is heated, round, and the same depth all over. While neither of our boys are able to swim, we made sure to bring our Swimways floats for them and we had the BEST time in the pool! We swam for about an hour or so and was so relaxing after driving 8 hours the day before. Atlantis Casino Resort actually has a full-service Spa that is quite impressive, and is definitely on my list for our next visit! You can also relax around the pool on the comfy outdoor lounge furniture and some guests have recommended the poolside milkshakes, which I heard are awesome!
The Food:
We all know I love food! The first time we had the pleasure of dining at Toucan Charlie’s Buffet at Atlantis Casino Resort Hotel I was amazed at everything they offered! Not an item was forgotten from specifics foods to cuisines, beautifully hand-carved fruit sculptures, and made to order options from salads to Pho to Mongolian sit-fry. And let’s not even get started about the dessert selections. I think they need their own post, but for convenience, I’ll include a preview of everything in the video below so you can see for yourself. As someone who has personally dined in Castles in Germany, and amazing Italian restaurants overlooking the city of Rome, many wonderful restaurants and cafes at my favorite Orlando theme park who won’t be named but does house a very famous mouse, I can honestly say that Toucan Charlie’s is by far my very favorite place I’ve ever eaten. It may sound so silly to say, but I mean this with my whole heart: for those who love amazing food, Toucan Charlie’s is the place dreams are made of! So of course after enjoying Dinner and Brunch (which includes complimentary champagne and mimosas), I was a very happy mama, and my husband, kids, and parents were also quite pleased! For your convenience, you can avoid the bathroom scale provided in your room! (Actually, since I had such a wonderful night of sleep, I weighed myself both days and lost 4 pounds so my delicious buffet was canceled out!)

Overall Thoughts:
Overall, I would absolutely recommend the Atlantis Casino Resort Hotel to everyone, especially those with children. Between the complimentary valet and crib, fun and relaxing swimming area, Salon, award-winning Spa, and amazing selections of food, you don’t have to be a gambler to enjoy all that this hotel has to offer! The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful! While Toucan Charlie’s is our favorite place to eat, Atlantis also has a 24-hour restaurant in the hotel that is so convenient if you happen to be traveling and arrive after the restaurants have closed. This was the case during our first visit and we were so happy to still have a convenient option for a nice meal. My husband brought the food up to our room and we enjoyed a nice picnic with the boys. Everything was delicious, clean, and we all really had a wonderful time! Atlantis Casino Resort Hotel is a wonderful place to stay, especially with small children! I can’t wait to go back again!

Also, a note! *** I tried to follow Bogg Bag on Instagram but the link leads to page that says
“Sorry, this page isn’t available.
The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed.”
Double checking I went to their website and followed the Instagram link from their homepage – same thing.
So, I dunno!
