Assembly:
My husband put this together for us. He said the instructions were very well written and it took him less than 10 minutes from unboxing to completed. On a scale of difficulty from 1-10, he said it was a 1 and I could have easily put it together myself without his help.
Infant Car seat and Base:
The base is super heavy duty and very well made. My husband commented that he really like the latches that hook the base to the car’s backseat because they’re push-button rather than a hook and much easier to install. The base is charcoal gray and all of the buttons are bright red to make it easy to know where they are. In the center of the base is a strong piece that snaps opened and closed to secure the lap belt to the base and provide extra safety. The front of the base is equipped with a recline indicator to show how far the seat is reclining which is color-coded to the baby’s weight: blue is for up to 20 pounds and green is for 20-35 pounds. If it shows up red, orange or mixed colors, you know you need to adjust the seat so your baby is safe. I love this because as easy as it seems to properly install a baby’s car seat, there are so many variables and a visual indicator gives me a piece of mind. The GB Asana35 LTE infant car seat is incredibly strong! This is one heavy-duty car seat! What I noticed right away was how deep the sides of this infant car seat are. They seem deeper than many other car seats, which provide optimal side impact protection for your baby. There is an infant insert included for the hip and back area that is removable, so it can be washed. There are built in side pillows to provide comfort for baby’s head. These are padded on top and sturdy underneath for safety. The seatbelt straps have provided padding for baby’s shoulders that are removable. They are really soft and cushy!
Four positions:
Again, this is my first experience with a pram and I just LOVE what can be done with this type of system. The GB Lyfe travel system offers 4 positions:
- The European-Style Pram System- where the baby lays down in a little bassinet-looking basket facing you while you push them. This snaps into the stroller base on both sides and clicks into place.
- The GB Asana35 Infant Car Seat snaps into the stroller on both sides and clicks into place.
- Parent-facing Seat – the same seat for the laying down position which snaps into place on both sides can be changed up for this position. No extra parts needed!
- Forward-facing Seat –the same seat for the laying down position which snaps into place on both sides can be changed up for this position. No extra parts needed!
The infant seat can be clicked securely into place with or without the pram seat (inside of it) according to your preferences.
Bonus Features:
The expandable airflow canopy is amazing! Before we moved to Utah, we spent many weekends at Disney World while both of our boys were very little and finding ways to block the sun from shining on them and in their eyes was always a challenge. This canopy expands so far to provide both protection and privacy to help shield your baby from the sun, strangers, and germs. When you pull it up fully open you will find it covers baby at a 90 degree angle. However, you simply unzip the canopy and an entirely new mesh section will allow you to pull the canopy further down while still keeping air flowing for your baby! The parent drink holder may seem like such a small addition, but when you’re a mom of little ones and on the go, anything that helps you stay hydrated easily is a lifesaver! Whether you’re out in the hot sun or just trying to be healthy, it’s right there when you need it! I put my large, glass water bottle and it held it perfectly. It snaps into place so you don’t have to worry about it falling off. One of my favorite things about this travel system is the amount of storage underneath! I’ve never seen a stroller than had this much space! We spent the afternoon downtown walking around and enjoying shops and restaurants and had plenty of space for two large diaper bags, my large purse, my older son’s little backpack, some snacks, and a few other personal items. There was still plenty of room for more! If you love to shop or pack a lot of items on your outings, this travel system could easily become your best friend! No more trying to balance everything on the handles or carry bags while you push your baby. Enjoy your baby and know that everything is easily accessible from the front or the back whenever you need it.
Additional Thoughts:
I really love how high up my child is in this stroller seat! I feel like we’re closer together and I can easily talk to him, help him, and feel like we’re together rather than if he were seated closer to the ground. I can even hold his hand while pushing him without straining my back at all. The stroller is lightweight and easy to fold up! My husband is very tall (6’4”) and I’m short (5’1”) and pushing this stroller around for an extended period of time was comfortable for both of us! It’s also very smooth and the covered handle is really nice for parents’ comfort. The breaks are easy to use. The material this travel system is made out of is very easy to clean, which is always important with little ones! Overall both my husband and I love this travel system and are really impressed with the ease of use, comfort, quality, safety, and security that it provides for both parents and baby!

*Tips for First Time Parents:
When my husband and I were shopping for all of the baby necessities for our first child, there was a lot to take in. What we knew is that we planned to have more than one child. We have been blessed with two amazing boys so far and hope to have two more children. Because we planned on more than one child, we started out selecting items that we loved that were gender neutral in their style and colors. The GB Lyfe travel system is available in Red and Charcoal. I think both could easily work for boys and girls. We LOVE the charcoal one because we can add our own accent colors with blankies and toys as needed. Teal and grey are pretty much our favorite colors for everything! When it comes to price you have to go with what works for your budget. For us, we knew we’d be using the items for multiple children and because of that, it was more valuable for us to choose higher-quality baby items that would last through multiple babies. When you divide the cost by two, three, or four babies, it becomes very affordable!]]>
