Do you guys love Hello Kitty? My sister is probably the biggest Hello Kitty fan there is! And Avalynn is certainly following in her footsteps. So when I heard that the elusive Hello Kitty Cafè Truck would be heading to our city, I put that on my Google calendar and made sure to wake up early on a Saturday morning and head out with the kids for some treats!
Tip-Arrive Early:
The truck stopped at the Westshore Plaza (mall) in Tampa indoors on Saturday, Febraury 16th. The hours were posted as 10am until 8pm for one day only. I even checked to schedule to see if they’d head over to Orlando next, but no such luck. We had ONE chance to make it! I searched the internet for reviews mostly to scope out photos and see what to expect. Several people suggested arriving early because sometimes they run out of items. So believe it or not, we actually arrived half an hour before they opened and were around 30th place in line. It didn’t take too long. As we waited, the line behind us stretched all the way through the mall and I realized at that moment how absolutely freeing it is to plan ahead and arrive early to avoid unnecessary stress–especially with kids who don’t love to wait in lines! Yay me, at age 33! Let’s see if I can keep this going, right?
Let’s Order:
The menu was posted outside of the line area, so I grabbed a photo and shared it with anyone who may be looking for the same info I did. Everything was quite reasonably priced and we decided on a few treats for the family and some special gifts for my sister!
The cookies and pies came in super cute boxes and were individually wrapped so you could take them home if necessary. But we decided to enjoy our treats for breakfast. For those who purchase $25 or more in food items, a free Hello Kitty tote is included…which Avalynn went crazy over!
The truck was so adorable and while it wasn’t something we’d do every day, it certainly made for a fun family adventure and some very yummy treats! I can’t wait to share some special gifts with my sister when we see her next month! (Not posted here because they are a surprise!)

If you’d like to check out the truck schedule, visit their website here. I think there are two trucks (West Coast and East Coast) that travel the US simultaneously. You can also stalk their instagram here for sneak peeks on some of the fun treats and merch available!
