It’s time for Christmas events and I couldn’t be more excited- my favorite time of year! I love getting some good quality family time with the kids and exploring new and fun places in our area. We recently attended Keel Farms’ Holidays on the Farm and had so much fun with the kids!
If you haven’t yet made a visit to Keel and Curley Winery at Keel Farms, located in Plant City, Florida, I highly recommend it! We brought the kids out for some family fun for their Christmas event called Holidays on the Farm. Admission is $5 for ages 6 and up (5 and under are free) and includes a hayride. Parking is also free. This event is every Saturday through Christmas and is open from 10am-4pm. If you will be in the Tampa Bay area this Christmas, I highly recommend a trip out to Keel Farms with your family for this fun event! To learn more about the Holidays on the Farm events, check out their Facebook events page here.
Eat, Drink, & Be Merry:
Choose from a selection of local food trucks and treat vendors or enjoy a meal on the patio from the Keel & Curley restaurant. You can also sample their farm-fresh wine, ciders, and beer. Children can enjoy a variety of fun treats like cotton candy in a variety of yummy flavors, edible cookie dough, popsicles, and more!
Local vendors are also to available to shop with for handmade gifts if you’d like to shop small this season and support local businesses! Some vendors are there every weekend and others are different each week!
Fun for Kids:
There are so many kids activities to choose from! You can get crafty in their DIY ornament making station or let them get all their crazy energy out in the bounce houses or snowball fight nestled in between some haystacks! Last weekend there was a Lego building station with new and used Lego sets for sale provided by Brick City Bricks and a Slime making/sand art station! Face painting and balloon animals are also available for the little ones who want some extra fun!
Fun on the Farm:
Take a hayride or “shade ride” (covered) all around Keel Farms and a behind the scenes look at the beautiful property and all of the parts that make up the farm. You will see all of the fresh vegetables growing, strawberry fields (that should be available for U-Pick before Christmas!), a beautiful sunflower field, cows, chickens, donkeys, and sheep, the winery & brewery! Each week you can take park in the U-pick (availability changes each week) for farm-fresh produce and also have an opportunity to feed the animals! If you’re looking for beautiful centerpieces, choose from sunflowers or poinsettias!
Lots of Family Photo Ops!
You guys know I’m always looking for fun photo ops with the kids! Keel Farms has all kinds of beautiful places to take your family photos! You can also catch some special visits from Santa, Frosty the Snowman, and maybe even someone else!
