This post is sponsored by Kete Koha. All thoughts are my own.
When I first heard about this new subscription box called Kete Koha, I was so excited for the opportunity to try their debut box! This box comes all the way from New Zealand, the location of my childhood penpal! What a fun way to sample a country I’ve always wanted to visit!
The Kete Koha subscription box promises to delight the food explorer in you, through a variety of full-sized products sourced all over the South Pacific, featuring small batch artisans. There are three options to choose from starting at $29.70. I received the monthly artisan box (the middle option- priced at $52.83), which includes 10 products! Below, I will share a little about each of the items included in my box. Keep in mind, this was their debut box. And I must say, I’m very impressed! Also, if you’d like to try out this subscription box, I have a discount code below for you!

Aroha Drinks:
This Sauvignon Blanc with Saffron white wine is handcrafted in New Zealand. In Maori language, the word “Aroha” means love for the land and its people. The story of how Aroha drinks came about is really interesting!
You can learn more about the story here and check them out on Instagram here.
ViBERi:
White chocolate-covered, organic crispy freeze-dried blackcurrants are rolled in the highest grade organic Belgian chocolate and dusted in ViBERi powder. A unique combination which is wickedly tempting. These are not only delicious, but are also award-winning!
I was kind enough to share them with my family and they were a HUGE hit with everyone! Avalynn can’t get enough. I’ve never tried anything like this before…. the texture and the fusion of bitter and sweet flavors are an experience for sure! I’m disappointed we won’t be able to grab some more from the grocery story!

Waiheke Herbs:
Containing Manuka, Kawakawa, Kokihi & Karengo, this native herb salt is truly an aromatic and taste experience of New Zealand’s pure native bush and coastline. It pairs well with meats, seafood, eggs, steamed veggies, sushi, rice, and other Japanese cuisine. This sounds yummy and we can’t wait to try it out!

Also pictured above is this month’s gift item, the Kete Harakeke. A woven flax Kete holds traditional significance to the New Zealand people and has many designs and uses. The kete itself is a symbol as a container of knowledge and wisdom, while the flax has been woven for centuries into everything from cooking baskets to fishing nets. What a neat item to receive, and even better to learn the story behind it!
Solomon’s Gold:
Single origin chocolate handcrafted in New Zealand with just two ingredients: 70% single origin Solomon Islands naturally organic cacao and organic coconut sap sugar. Contains no dairy, nuts, soy, or gluten. Kosher certified. Vegan. Bean to bar.
I tend to prefer milk chocolate, so I shared this one with my family. My husband was not a fan, but the boys loved it, of course! I really like that the ingredients are so simplye and it sounds like a treat option for those with food sensitivities.
You can check more about Solomon’s Gold on their Instagram over here.
Wild Country:
A delightfully tangy mustard with the sweet taste of buttery New Zealand chardonnay. It’s an excellent accompaniment to steak or ham and an ideal ingredient in vinaigrettes or sauces. It’s also considered a must-have on antipasto platters and share plates!
This sounds amazing and we’ll be planning an entire meal around many of these items later this week. I can’t wait!

Mashtun Crackers:
These cracers have an emphasis on texture and consistency with a favor that’s simple yet moreish. The genuine Kiwi Ingenuity shines through in these crackers, solving a problem by creating something simply delicious, and with only 4 ingredients, they’re a winner!
We tried these and through they were really yummy! The description is totally accurate- a simple cracker, but also quite flavorful! I enjoyed them with some cheese and hummus. If these were available in our local grocery store, I would definitely repurchase!

Artisan Vinegar:
Artisan Vinegar created this savoury chutney especially for the first Kete Koha shipment that I received! Made from fresh New Zealand strawberries & beetroot, a unique flavor combination would be a perfect fit for cheese platters, veggie wraps, or burgers!
We can’t wait to try this one! I love anything strawberry! You can learn more about Artisan Vinegar on Instagram over here.
Kerikeri Tea:
Naturally sweet and caffeine-free Honeybush blended with Coconut and New Zealand Manuka leaf. Blended daily in the northern most region of New Zealand, this tea is high in antioxidants and wonderfully refreshing. This organic blend is delicious served hot or cold.
Everyone knows how much I LOVE tea, so this was a nice treat! Check out their website here to learn more about Kerikeri Tea and see the other flavors they offer.
Final Thoughts:
Overall, I definitely enjoyed this box! Kete Koha did a great job of curating a nice variety of items to help someone experience the taste and senses of New Zealand from anywhere in the world! Every product was full size, which is a great way to get a real sample of the flavors and feelings behind each item. I also love being able to share the items I get to try with my family!
I was so impressed with the presentation and packaging. Everything was so carefully placed and wrapped. it would make for a great gift! The fact that it came thousands of miles and arrived in PERFECT condition was also amazing!
I love that they also included a book to learn more about the regions and culture of New Zealand. It looks absolutely beautiful! My aunt has been there many times (and is actually there right now!) and that’s how I came to meet my first penpal when I was a child. We used to send each other care packages and receiving the Kete Koha box really brought it all full circle for me!
It was really exciting to receive their very first box ever and I definitely think that if this is what can be expected, customers are in for a real treat! Learning about other cultures is so much fun, especially when it involves a taste from across the globe!
