Hi everyone! I have been working on taking more fun photos of the kids and I’m so excited to share this post with you featuring two small shops that reached out to us. The Japanese kimono is SO ADORABLE and it’s from a small business called Haha no yume. Haha no yume 母の夢, is Japanese for Mother’s Dream, and is the creation of mama Marjorie. This very special kimono was shipped to Avalynn all the way from Japan! How special! Haha no yume apparel is ethically produced in fair trade settings that focus on social and economic independence for local people, women especially, working to provide for their families in a safe and fair environment. They also donate a portion of sales to World Vision.
I actually kept in touch with Marjorie back when I was pregnant with Avalynn and have been looking forward to this collaboration for a very long time! I’m so excited to share Avalynn in her little kimono:
Her little kimono is soooooo ADORABLE! The quality is amazing! I love that the bottom has built in shorts so her diaper is covered at all times and the snaps make it easy for diaper changes. It also has snaps and ties on both side to keep it in place. Avalynn really loves wearing this and she looks soooo cute walking around in it.
Avalynn is 17 months old here and I just love dressing up my little doll. She enjoys it just as much! We’re going to work on making these fun photos more of a regular thing because they grow up way too quickly. If you have any fun ideas, let me know in the comments!
Where are those cute donut props from?!
The next feature in this collaboration is Foam Bakery, the creator of these SUPER FUN foam donuts! I discovered their Instagram @foambakery and they asked if they could send Avalynn a dozen of their donuts for some fun photos! These are SOOOOO cool!
