If you have little ones, you know just how important it is to have a great park to play at! When we lived in Utah, we were totally spoiled with several great parks nearby. After we moved back to Florida, it’s been a bit more challenging to find a park that could match up to what we loved. We recently discovered an amazing park called Common Ground in Lakeland, Florida that completely met all of our expectations and then some!
This is one of many parks across the US designed by Landscapes Structures to be an inclusive play experience for kids of varying ages and abilities. There are several play areas for each age group, from easy, intermediate, and challenging. Many areas throughout the play areas are equipped for kids with disabilities and are even wheelchair friendly. As a mom who knows how much my kids not only LOVE going to the park, but also NEED their park time, it makes me so happy to know that all kids can come here and play together despite their differences. Every child deserves an opportunity to play and have fun with other kids! Since October is Sensory Awareness Month, it’s important to remember that we all share these spaces in a community and it’s so important that our kids can all have a chance to have fun together!

This park is SO much fun!!
We were so impressed with the variety of features and activities throughout the park! Kids can explore, climb, slide, swing, and use their imagination as they make their way around the park’s different areas. There is plenty of room to accommodate many families and so many activities that your kids can try something new and different with each visit!
Our kids are 18 months, 4, and 6 and it was really neat to see so many areas that allowed the three of them to play together and have a great time! My favorite feature is the swing that the boys and I can swing on with Avalynn! She had a blast! Andrew loves all the different ropes climbing features and Aidan loves the Fire Truck area!
This is hands down our favorite park in this area and we plan to make many more trips and memories together with our kids!
