When it comes to pool time, there are several things to keep in mind for safety. As a mom, I want to make sure that my kids are safe in the water while also having fun! Swimways Spring Baby Float does exactly what I’m looking for! We purchased our first Swimways baby float back when Andrew was about 9 months old. He loved it! He has always loved the water! Now we have two little ones to care for in the pool! Swimways has been a winner for both babies! Aidan didn’t take to the water right away like Andrew did, but with the Swimways Baby Spring Float, mommy’s help and a lot of courage on his part, we were able to make the swimming time one of his new favorite activities! I told him he was in boat and we sang, “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” together while I moved him around the pool. He really liked that! Then, I told him to kick his legs. That was all it took and he was going all over the place!
The Swimways Baby Spring Float is very well designed. It folds up into a small circle to carry with you on the go. Once you open it up, you blow up the inflatable chair. Your baby will sit in the mesh seat inside the inflatable chair. It provides a secure cushion around your baby and a way for them to “sit” and kick their legs around like they are swimming. There’s a mesh border around the chair that allows the babies to splash in the water or offers a place to put their water toys. A sun shield canopy can be attached to the float and helps to protect your baby from the sun, which is great since the water can sometimes wash away sunscreen. After trying this product with both of my children, I honestly believe that this is the best way to introduce your little ones to the water! I highly recommend this product to mommies with little ones in the pool this summer!
Learning Swimming safety is important for all kids, whether or not you have a pool. Your children will, at some point, come into contact with a swimming pool, lake, river, or other body of water. Even if they are playing next to the pool, it’s possible that they could accidentally fall in. I have friends who have taken their children to swimming lessons as little as 6 months old, which I personally think is amazing! I believe the best way to prevent an emergency is to learn all skills as early as possible and use safety tools, such as a life jacket or flotation device, whenever your kids are around water. It only takes a second for something to go wrong. If you haven’t taken your kids to swimming lessons yet, don’t worry; you’re not alone! Our kids will be taking their first swimming lessons this summer and as a mom I am both excited for them and relieved for them to learn these life skills that they will use throughout their childhood and onto adulthood! Until then, we’ll be using our SwimWays Baby Spring floats and sticking close to our boys. As with any child and baby device, please keep in mind that you should always keep your baby within arm’s reach for safety reasons.
